What an exciting day for us. We spent last night at Green Turtle Bay. Had dinner with 9 other loopers last night. We celebrated a little early which was nice since there aren't any loopers at Kenlake. However, we did wait to hang our Gold Burgee until we crossed under Eggners Ferry Bridge. We noticed that on the Tennessee River chart, I had written the date and time we started the loop, 10/19/2011, 11:34am.
Our plans now are to hang out here for a couple of weeks, go home for a couple of weeks then head south to attend the Fall Rendezvous. After that, we are tentatively thinking about leaving the boat in Columbus, MS while we go to Santa Fe New Mexico to spend Thanksgiving with Trudy and her family. December in Panama City Beach, the Keys in January, the Bahamas in February and from there who knows.
This has been an incredible year. We've met so many fabulous people. Seen many sites that we had never seen before. I learned how to drive the boat and read charts. What an experience.
