March 13, 2012

We have returned to the boat after several weeks with family. Harper Grae Hoffmann was born February 24, 2012 to proud Mom and Dad, April and Craig. She's a perfect little package weighing in at 6lb 9oz. Jerry and I were there for the birth. What an emotional experience.

It was fun with the grand kids, Charley and Brooklyn. We got to play outside some when the weather cooperated, we cooked, read and did all the fun things we get to do as grandparents.

About a week after Harper was born, we took off for home. Taxes, dentists and the like were on the agenda. Elizabeth, Jeremy and Taylor were all glad to see us and it was wonderful to see them. The house looked fabulous.

The Mooney is still sitting in the hanger so we decided to look into having a broker sell it. One was recommended by several folks so Jerry arranged for him to come by to check out the plane. While he was there he looked at Jerry's BMW. He likes cars. When I drove up, he wanted to drive the M3. Afterwards, he decided he wanted to buy it. What a great deal for us.
We hope the Mooney goes soon.

We left home and made a stop in Atlanta on the way back to Jacksonville. It felt good to be back on the boat.

Jerry was surfing CraigsList Sunday looking for davits to hang the dinghy off the back of the boat. Found just what we've been looking for in Charleston, SC. It was too good a deal to pass up. So Monday morning we were up at 4:30am and heading north. Thought we might have to drive back with the top down but managed to get in the back seat no problem. The
guy might be interested in buying Jerry's car which would work good for us.

Back at the boat Jerry realized that the swim platform needs some work to support the new davits. A marina close by will do the work but it looks like the boat will need to be pulled to do it right. Wouldn't you know it. Before we do anything though, friends, Dan and Bogusia will visit. They plan to be here St Pats day and stay for a few days with us on the boat.
