We planned an early start but a tow was coming into the lock so we just waited at the dock until about 9.  The 3 boats, Shingibiss, Wind Song and Goldleaf, locked through Jamie Whitten lock, an 84 ft drop.  Then on to the "Sonny" Montgomery and John Rankin locks.  I drive through the locks now and Jerry does the lines.  The first one, no problem, 2nd one, wasn't really a problem, just got blown toward the wall a little sooner than planned.  It was all good.  The 3rd lock had a tow coming through so we had to wait about an hour.  Just dropped an anchor and waited.  Jerry got a well deserved nap and I read.  Only problem here was that the anchor didn't hold, so we drifted close, too close, to Shingibiss.  Jerry realized it just in time and fired up the engines to get us away from them.  One more lock, Fulton, and we are done with locks for today.

We anchored out just around the corner from the Wilkins lock with the other boats.  I didn't sleep well concerned about the anchor holding.  I was up at midnight and 3:30, then the inverter alarm went off around 4:15 and finally gave up at 6:15.  Oh well.
